Assassin's Creed Introduces Unexpected Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a surprising crossover event that challenges traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Uncovered
According to the formal release, "An unusual meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of prohibited rituals and fearsome changes echo through the shadows." The narrative presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret sect.
The questline centers on "bizarre trials and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Changes
The teaser features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana alongside multiple objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Third Free Story Update
This patch also brings the game's newest complimentary story addition, titled "The Mystery."
